Ingredients
- 4 ripe Saba bananasor a similar type of cooking banana
- 1 cup Brown sugar
- 1 cup Cooking Oil
- 2 Wooden skewers
Directions
Steps
1 Done | Begin by peeling the bananas and cutting them in half. |
2 Done | Roll the banana halves in the brown sugar, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them sit for a few minutes so the sugar adheres well to the bananas. |
3 Done | In a frying pan, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the sugar-coated bananas. Fry until they turn golden brown and caramelized, making sure to turn them occasionally for even cooking. |
4 Done | Once cooked, remove the bananas from the oil and drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil. After they've cooled slightly, skewer two caramelized banana halves onto each wooden stick. |
5 Done | Serve your Banana Cue warm, allowing the sweetness of the caramelized sugar and the soft texture of the banana to be savored with every bite. |
