Steps
1 Done | Separate the eggs, the yolks and the whites in two different bowls. Cover the egg whites bowls and refrigerate until needed. |
2 Done | Use a whisk or an electric mixer to beat egg yolks until light, and gradually add the sugar. Continue whisking until the sugar completely dissolved and fluffy. |
3 Done | Add the milk, heavy cream, grated nutmeg, vanilla extract and bourbon and whisk until well combined. |
4 Done | If you prefer to use egg whites, whisk the reserved egg whites until whites form stiff peaks. |
