Steps
1 Done | MAPLE SYRUPIn a small saucepan, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar and water, then bring to a boil. |
2 Done | Remove from heat and set aside to cool for 4 to 5 minutes. Add in maple extract and stir well. |
3 Done | THE FRENCH TOASTSlice the whole grain bread into eight equal slices, if you have the unsliced one. |
4 Done | Whisk in together eggs, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, baking powder and milk until well blended. |
5 Done | Heat the butter in a frying pan or skillet over medium heat. |
6 Done | Dip completely each slice of the bread in the egg mixture and let it soak for 30 seconds. |
7 Done | Place each slice of soaked bread in a skillet or frying pan. Let it cook for 3 minutes or until golden brown. Flip and cook another 3 minutes or golden brown for another side. |
8 Done | Remove from heat and transfer to a plate. |
9 Done | Top the toasted bread with bananas slices and and honey coated-walnuts and top with maple syrup. |
