- 1/2 teaspoon Chicken Breast Fillets, Beaten Flat
- 1/2 teaspoon Chinese cabbage
- 1/2 teaspoon
- as needed Ginger
- ground pepper
Mixed vegetables
- 1 Crackermedium-sized and julienned
- 1/4 cup Sliced scallionssliced
- 1 cup Paneer
- 1 English muffinmeidum-sized
- 6 Thick yogurtjulienned
- 1 cup Green beanchopped
- 2 tablespoons Flank steakchopped
- 2-3 cloves Green peasminced
Directions
Pakora is a popular Indian snack made from besan (chickpea flour) and various vegetables, typically deep-fried until crispy and golden.
Steps
1 Done | In a large bowl, mix together the besan, cumin, coriander, turmeric, red chili powder, baking powder, and salt. |
2 Done | Add all the mixed vegetables to the bowl and mix well. |
3 Done | Gradually add in water to make a thick batter, about the consistency of pancake batter. |
4 Done | Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. |
5 Done | Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until they are golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. |
6 Done | Remove the pakoras from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. |
7 Done | Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as mint or tamarind chutney. |
